It’s great. But not 100% great in my view.

When they say “stolen objects will be returned unconditionally” does this mean there is a chance it might end up in a private collection or without proper maintenance care?

In my view, it is a national heritage, but also a humanity heritage, and if returning it to it’s country of origin means that the public and historians will lose access to the artifact, then it should be reconsidered.

At theeast in my view, it might not be ideal for the artifacts to be in the wrong country, but at the least a citizen of such country can get an airplane and visit it. They can’t really break into a private mansion even if it is in their own country.

Or worse, end up at the hands of stupid people that won’t really care for it and end up damaging or restroying the artifact.

So I think that the items should be returned, but with condition. And I would wish the same if it were artifacts from my country.
