Defenceman Rasmus Sandin is day-to-day with a bone contusion after blocking a shot during the Toronto Marlies‘ season opener, coach Greg Moore told reporters Tuesday.

Sandin, 20, was sent down to the Marlies by the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday. He has one assist in one game with the Leafs this season.

The Marlies won 3-2 against the Manitoba Moose to start their AHL season Monday, and will play the Moose again on Wednesday in the latter half of a back-to-back.
