While daily Covid infections have been on the rise around the world, India’s dramatic fall in cases has left experts stumped. At its peak, the country was reporting nearly 100,000 cases a day.
However, numbers began to plummet in September, and now the country is reporting about 11,000 new cases a day, leaving experts perplexed. The strain on the country’s hospitals has also declined in recent weeks, a further indication the virus’s spread is slowing.
Meanwhile, Dubai reported a total of 32 food establishments have been ordered temporarily closed since the beginning of this year for Covid safety violations.
